Ubisoft has just announced that Far Cry New Dawn is getting a 60FPS patch on PS5, bringing smoother gameplay to the 2019 Far Cry 5 spin-off! The update is expected to drop on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, coinciding with the game’s arrival on Xbox Game Pass.

The patch was confirmed after Xbox Series X|S players noticed that the FPS Boost feature had been disabled. Ubisoft clarified that this was necessary for applying the update on Xbox, while on PS5, it’s simply a PS4 version update. If you're a PS Plus Extra subscriber, you can enjoy this improved version at no extra cost!

Ubisoft has been consistently updating its older titles with FPS patches on PS5, with previous upgrades for Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Origins, Syndicate, The Crew 2, and Far Cry 5.
